It is so hard to trust God when you don't even trust yourself. A lot harder when you know for sure you are doing exactly the opposite of what He said you should do.
Praise Him in the storm..but the storm is all me, my storm, my making, my mistakes, my sins. Is it okay to praise Him even in this self-manufactured storm? Is it okay to love Him with half of my heart just because that's all that is left - half. of. my. heart.?
Someone once told me that to be whole, I have to be broken...

ReplyDeleteKiah, darling, (hope you don't think I'm famzing)... Do what your heart wants to do. If you want to praise, praise. And if you want to ball up and cry instead, do that. Faking it will not do you any good or make you feel any better... at least it hasn't for me.
God loves to pursue us, and he wants to heal our hurt and replace our bad with his good. He will find you in time, and to be honest, I don't think you need a whole heart believing for that to happen.
I just hope I'm not spewing BS, but if I am, let's pray God causes you to doubt me!!!! Lol.

DeleteIf you get glue, after a while, you forget the cracks. Forgetting the cracks makes you forget what holds you together. Because truly madam..

As for the half, if it is total love, and half is all you have, then it will do.
